Mr. Laster, you may know him as our Tawasentha  and Building Principal.  He is new to FMS this year!  But do you know where he was before FMS?

Mr. Laster graduated from Siena College, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with Education concentration. From there he went to the University at Albany and earned his Masters Degree in Education  Administration.

Mr. Laster lived in Colorado with his family.

I asked Mr. Laster a few questions about his past, and here is what he said:

I love Farnsworth, I love the students, staff, and community. I’m excited for my children to come here in a few years.”

— Mr. Laster

Q: What do you like about FMS so far?

A: [I like] Hanging out with the students and walking into classrooms and seeing all the learning.

Q:Where did you teach before here?

A: I worked at Greenville High School, I was the principal for the past 8 years. And before that I was a teacher in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

Q: What is your favorite thing about FMS?

A: I love Farnsworth, I love the students, staff, and community. I’m excited for my children to come here in a few years.

Thank you Mr. Laster!

I bet you didn’t know that much about him!

I came across this page after some casual Google browsing and am pleasantly surprised to find Mr. Laster is a principal at your school! I don’t know how he is as a principal but he was a fantastic teacher when I was in his class in 1999-2000 in Glenwood Springs Middle School. He always spoke his mind and taught with passion and vigor, every single day. I feel pretty confident in saying that you are all in good hands. He’s a great guy and I highly recommend you all to sit down and have a chat with him at least once in your early academic careers because he is full of knowledge and inspiration.
